DAY 1 : ARRIVAL TO HA NOI[D]
Upon arrival at Noi Bai International Airport, you will be warmly greeted by your tour guide and transferred to your hotel in the heart of Hanoi. Depending on your flight schedule, there may be time for a short orientation tour to get a first glimpse of the city’s highlights.
Later, take a leisurely stroll through Hanoi’s vibrant Old Quarter, a maze of bustling streets steeped in history and full of local charm. Continue to the tranquil Ngoc Son Temple, beautifully situated on a tiny islet in the middle of Hoan Kiem Lake—one of the city’s most iconic landmarks.
As the afternoon winds down, experience a unique piece of Vietnamese culture with a traditional Water Puppet Show, an art form that has delighted audiences in northern Vietnam for centuries.
Enjoy dinner at a local restaurant, then return to your hotel for a restful overnight stay in Hanoi.
DAY 2 : HANOI- HOA LU-TAM COC- BICH DONG- HANOI[B/L]
Your journey begins with a scenic drive from Hanoi to Hoa Lư, the ancient capital of Vietnam. Once the political and spiritual center of Đại Việt in the 10th century, this historic site invites you to step back in time as you explore the venerable temples dedicated to King Dinh Tien Hoang and King Le Dai Hanh—two legendary rulers who shaped the country’s early history.
From there, continue to Tam Coc, where a peaceful vegetarian lunch awaits you in a charming local restaurant surrounded by serene countryside. Afterward, glide along the Ngo Dong River on a traditional sampan boat rowed by a local, passing through three stunning caves and marveling at the dramatic limestone cliffs rising from emerald rice paddies—an enchanting landscape often called “Halong Bay on land.”
Next, venture to Bich Dong Grotto, a captivating complex of cave temples nestled into a limestone mountainside. As you ascend toward the Upper Pagoda, you’ll be rewarded with breathtaking views over the lush fields and mountains of Ninh Binh. Famously featured in the French film Indochine, Bich Dong once earned the royal accolade as “Vietnam’s second most beautiful grotto.”
