DAY 1: HOCHIMINH CITY – MY THO – BEN TRE – CAN THO[L]
At 8:00 AM, our friendly tour guide will pick you up at your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City. Begin your journey as we head south towards the Mekong Delta, traveling along the first expressway in Southern Vietnam. Watch the urban sprawl fade into peaceful scenes of rice paddies, fruit orchards, and quaint villages.
Arriving in My Tho, board a traditional motorboat to cruise along the mighty Mekong River – Southeast Asia’s longest river stretching over 4,800 km across six countries. Enjoy fresh coconut water as you take in the peaceful riverside scenery.
Your first stop is Unicorn Island, where you'll taste pure honey, royal jelly, and bee pollen, fresh from the farm. Continue to Ben Tre, famous for its coconut candy. Watch locals craft this sweet treat by hand, then enjoy a leisurely ride through the village by Tuk Tuk or horse-drawn carriage.
At a local garden, sample tropical fruits like pineapple, watermelon, longan, and royal bananas while listening to the traditional Vietnamese folk music known as Đờn ca tài tử. Then, hop into a hand-rowed sampan for a serene glide through a tunnel of water coconut palms — a truly local experience.
